What is VALID Q?
VALID Q is a support and advocacy group for people with intellectual disability who are LGBTQIA+.
LGBTQIA+ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Intersex or Asexual.
The plus (+) represents other sexual identities.
VALID Q is coordinated by VALID, a leading disability advocacy organisation in Victoria.
What does VALID Q do?
VALID Q provides a safe and welcoming space where people can:

Meet others

Share their stories and experiences

Find and give support

Plan activities together
Some of the things VALID Q members have done include:

Meeting with other LGBTQIA+ groups for people with disabilities

Speaking at the Having a Say conference

Taking part in the Midsumma Pride March
What VALID Q does in the future is up to its members.
Together, we plan to advocate for the rights of people with disabilities who are LGBTQIA+.
