It is intended as a resource:
- To build the skills of advocates and those who have an advocacy component in to their roles
- To assist advocates – and those who share the empowerment mission – explaining their approach to people with an intellectual disability
- To build the decision-making skills of people with an intellectual disability throughout the advocacy process
- To support people with an intellectual disability to become Self Advocates
- To support Self Advocates to become Empowering Advocates for their peers
TEAM Training workshops run over 8 x 2 hour sessions.
The cost is $230 which includes all 8 lessons, The Empowering Advocacy Kit, postage and GST.
