Proudly made by and for people with disabilities, this program gives a voice to leaders in the community.
The Airwaves Access Journey
During the Victorian COVID-19 lockdown of 2020, a radio show pilot was developed by the Gippsland Working Together Group (comprising VALID, the Moe Peer Acton Group, New Wave Self Advocacy, Gippsland Disability Advocacy and Moe Life Skills) and Gippsland FM.
The show became known as Airwaves Access and was aired on International Day of People with Disability on 3rd of December 2020.
The show was a success and peer action leaders continue to create content on a regular basis for their communities.
