What is the In This Together project?
Our aim is to assist the vibrant and diverse Surf Coast and Baw Baw communities create sustainable opportunities to connect meaningfully with local individuals who have intellectual and cognitive disabilities. It’s time for full participation in community life.
How do we do that?
As the name suggests, we’re all in this together. By co-designing and deploying community-wide, cross-cutting strategies to make inclusion and participation a sustainable reality for people with intellectual and other cognitive disabilities, we’ll strive to make sustainable inclusion across all areas of the community a reality.
Who is it for?
Everybody. A community that involves everyone, regardless of difference, is a community that places wellbeing at its heart. We think it’s time for folks with intellectual and cognitive disabilities to be active citizens in the Surf Coast and Baw Baw Shire communities… to have jobs, be in clubs, on committees, welcomed by groups… just like everyone else.
How can I get involved?
We want to meet as many community friends as we can. Get in touch with us, we will not charge any fees. Let us know you are keen to be part of this positive change. We are happy to meet with you at any stage of your accessible journey… and if we pop in to say ‘g’day’, don’t be a stranger.
