For the fourth year in a row the VALID Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held at the Aborigines Advancement League in Thornbury.
The AGM provided an opportunity for VALID staff to showcase the work that each team had achieved over the past twelve months. The AGM was also an opportunity to celebrate two new Committee of Management members, Bobby Usas and Margaret Quinn. VALID welcomes and congratulates all members of the Committee of Management.
New staff were announced to VALID stakeholders and members. Arthur Rogers, from the Disability Services Commission, gave a presentation about his role and the importance of advocacy in the context of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The event ended with a light lunch and a chance for attendees to network.
