The Having a Say conference attracts hundreds of delegates from across Australia and overseas and we are looking for volunteers to support participants with different activities at the conference.
The conference is a place where people with disability can speak up and have their voice heard, be respected and empowered and it’s a lot of fun!

Screening
Please note that all volunteers are required to provide us with either
- their current Police Check Certificate
- or WWCC (Working With Children Check)
- or Worker registration number (NDIS)
- or VDWC worker registration document
OR
- obtain one of these screening checks
If you already have a the relevant screening certificate or worker registration, please send a copy with your Volunteer application.
If you don’t have a screening check, then VALID can arrange and pay for your volunteer Police Check
- if you fill out the form in the Volunteer booklet
- send us copies of your ID (which will be destroyed after use)

All volunteers are required to follow the Code of Conduct.
It is about showing everyone respect and working with everyone in a positive way.
