Driving Change

People with intellectual disability experience poorer health outcomes than the wider community and often face barriers when accessing healthcare.

Through the Driving Change project, VALID asked people with intellectual disability, families, carers and health professionals one important question:

What can the Victorian Government do to make health better?

The answers have shaped a series of recommendations to improve healthcare for people with intellectual disability in Victoria. By bringing together the voices of people with lived experience, Driving Change aims to help create a fairer, more inclusive and accessible health system.
